Why Choose In-Person Therapy?

Our warm, private office in Toronto’s West end — serving High Park, Junction, West Bend, Roncesvalles, Parkdale, and Toronto’s west side is designed to help you feel comfortable and supported as you connect one-on-one with your therapist. While online sessions are effective, many clients find added value in meeting face-to-face:

  • A stronger connection with your therapist through body language and presence.

  • A safe, private, distraction-free environment.

  • Dedicated time outside your home or work routine.

  • Top-rated in-person therapy in Toronto — without long waitlists.

  • A welcoming office designed for comfort, calm, and healing.

Our In-Person Therapy Services

We welcome individuals, couples, and families to our West Toronto office. Every session is guided by our relational lens and tailored to your needs using evidence-based approaches.

  • Living with anxiety can feel overwhelming — racing thoughts, constant worry, or panic that interrupts daily life. Meeting in person provides a calming, supportive space to slow down and feel grounded.

    We can help you:

    • Reduce panic and worry

    • Learn coping skills for stress and overwhelm

    • Build confidence in managing daily challenges

    Our approach may include:

    • DBT: Tools for emotional regulation and mindfulness

    • Somatic Therapy: Grounding techniques that calm the body

    • IFS: Exploring anxious “parts” with compassion and clarity

  • Depression can feel heavy — no energy, loss of interest, or just going through the motions. For some it’s constant sadness, for others irritability, guilt, or feeling “stuck.” These struggles can impact your relationships, work, and self-worth. Face-to-face connection helps you manage symptoms, rebuild energy, and rediscover hope.

    We can help you:

    • Lift feelings of sadness and hopelessness

    • Rebuild self-worth and motivation

    • Find new ways to cope and move forward

    Our approach may include:

    • EFT: Building emotional support and connection

    • IFS: Developing self-compassion and resilience

    • DBT: Practical skills to manage negative thoughts and moods

  • Trauma can leave lasting effects — flashbacks, nightmares, or feeling constantly on edge. You may struggle with trust, feel disconnected from others, or find yourself avoiding reminders of the past. These experiences can impact your sense of safety and your relationships.

In-person trauma therapy gives you a safe, supportive space to process what happened at your pace. Face-to-face connection helps you rebuild trust, release what’s held in the body, and begin to feel whole again.

    We can help you:

    • Reduce symptoms of PTSD such as flashbacks, hypervigilance, or avoidance

    • Rebuild trust in yourself and others

    • Release trauma stored in the body

    • Strengthen resilience and coping strategies

    Our approach may include:

    • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing): A proven method for processing and healing trauma

    • Somatic Therapy: Bringing awareness to how trauma is held in the body and finding ways to release it

    • EFT & IFS: Creating emotional safety and healing inner wounds within a supportive relationship

  • Trauma and painful memories can feel overwhelming, even years later. You might find yourself stuck in the past, triggered by reminders, or unable to move forward despite your best efforts.

EMDR therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based approach proven to help people heal from trauma and PTSD. In-person EMDR sessions provide a safe, structured environment where your therapist can guide you step by step, helping you process memories without feeling consumed by them.

    We can help you:

    • Reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories

    • Lessen symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and distress

    • Rebuild a sense of safety and confidence in daily life

    Our approach to EMDR therapy:

    • In-person guidance for a secure, supportive experience

    • Tailored pacing so you feel safe and in control

    • Integration with other therapies like Somatic Therapy, IFS, and EFT for whole-person healing

  • Relationships can bring joy — but also stress and pain. If you’re feeling distant, stuck in conflict, or trying to rebuild trust, in-person couples therapy gives you a safe, supportive space to reconnect.

    We can help you:

    • Rebuild trust and emotional closeness

    • Improve communication and reduce conflict

    • Navigate life changes — from parenting to career stress

    • Heal from betrayals or long-standing disconnection

    • Prepare for marriage or strengthen commitment

    Our approach often includes:

    • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Shifts negative cycles and builds secure bonds

    • The Gottman Method: Research-based tools for connection and conflict skills

    • Parent Coaching & Family Support: Practical guidance for co-parenting and family alignment

    • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Brings self-awareness and compassion into the relationship

    • Somatic Therapy: Helps regulate stress and stay connected during tough moments

FAQs For In-Person Sessions in Toronto

  • Most sessions are 50 minutes. For couples and families, we also offer extended 75-minute and 90-minute sessions if you’d like more time for deeper work.

  • Unfortunately not. By law, receipts for couples or family sessions must include the names of everyone who attended. However, we can add a note to the receipt stating that payment was made in full by the person who paid.

  • Not at this time. We’ll provide you with a detailed receipt after each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

  • Yes. Many clients choose a hybrid approach. You can come in person when it’s convenient and book virtual sessions when you prefer.

  • Your therapist will take time to hear your story, explore your goals, and begin building a plan together. For couples and families, we focus on understanding your patterns and setting collaborative goals.

  • We ask for 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule without charge. This allows us to offer your time to another client.
