Ever find yourself caught in a loop of whys, what-ifs, and hows questions with a thousand possible answers and no clear way forward?

I have. After navigating immigration and the weight of cultural expectations, I understand the push to pursue meaningful goals while your own well-being quietly slips to the bottom of the list. Como alguien que también se ha sentido roto entre dos mundos, sé que a veces el dolor se lleva en silencio. I’m Michel, and I’m deeply passionate about supporting the Spanish-speaking community because this is my story, too: leaving Guatemala meant rebuilding from the ground up learning a new system, missing family milestones, and carrying the invisible pressure to succeed without losing who I am.

As a client in therapy myself, I’ve learned the power of asking kinder, more honest questions that let us rewrite our stories from self‑love growing from mistakes, healing old wounds, and knowing when to lean on others. Clinically, I help couples break high‑conflict cycles and rebuild connection, and I support individuals healing after painful breakups. My leadership experience as a Director in international non‑profits and CEO of my own school guides how I support high achievers and students facing burnout, isolation, and intense pressure. Across settings, my aim is the same: to help you move beyond “managing” stress and build a steady foundation of mental wellness clarity, boundaries, and a sense of home within yourself

Si estás buscando hogar, consuelo y pertenencia, aquí no tienes que explicarlo todo para ser comprendido. Caminaremos juntos hacia lo que más te importa.

Why Work with me

In therapy, we’ll work together to build and strengthen the bonds that are core to our well-being. I integrate evidence-based frameworks with my clinical background and culturally sensitive lived experience to help individuals and couples navigate their most complex challenges. I draw from proven models like the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help you uncover the cycles that may be impacting your life.

I commonly walk alongside clients who are focused on:

  • Healing trauma: Exploring unprocessed trauma, distressing memories, and intergenerational cycles without shame.

  • Restoring relationships: Rebuilding trust, overcoming "roommate syndrome," breaking negative communication cycles, and deepening emotional intimacy.

  • Managing well-being: Navigating anxiety, burnout, sleep problems, and identity shifts from immigration.

  • Social connection: Overcoming isolation, loneliness, and social anxiety.

  • Personal growth: Breaking stuck patterns, setting healthy boundaries,  strengthening self-esteem, and building deep self-trust.

What to Expect in Therapy

Therapy with me is collaborative and intentional. From day one, we clarify your story, your needs, and what meaningful change looks like for you. My style is warm, grounded, and active. I won't just listen; I’ll help you spot patterns, make sense of your experiences, and gently challenge what’s holding you back.

I integrate emotional, behavioral, and trauma‑informed approaches to support both insight and practical change. You can expect a non‑judgmental space built on empathy, consistency, and respect, with concrete tools for navigating emotions, relationships, and life transitions. Over time, you’ll feel more at ease, clearer on your direction, and more confident moving forward and your feedback will always shape our work so it fits you.
